Does the Bible condone slavery?

Writer: Nigel WilliamsNigel Williams
Slavery and the Bible
Does the New or Old Testament condone slavery?

Here we have the first in a series of videos dealing with the issue "Does the Bible condone slavery?"

The most common verse on this subject is found in Leviticus 25:44-45 and reads "Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession."

So how do you respond to a legitimate question like this?

The following is a video put together by our friends at Living Waters Europe.
